My love affair with these 4 began with Hansel being a Christmas gift from my husband. The following year Gretel joined our family for Valentines Day. Hansel loved Gretel immediately...I was so relieved since Hansey is a rough and tumble kind of boy but he was so loving and gentle with Gretel. When my husband Pete passed away in 2018 poor Hansel spent 2 weeks sleeping in Pete's recliner. I honestly give them a lot of credit for helping to keep my sanity after the loss. They've each got their quirks and can be maddening at times but I love them dearly even on their worst days. This photo was taken as I was trying to eat a sandwich. I HAD to share.
