Your Dog's Story or Bio
I purchased Ava when she was 6 years old. She had had three litters and her breeder was retiring her. She came from a very good kennel, and is a wonderful dog. She has a terrific disposition and is my constant companion. I had put my two other dachshunds down in February of 2014 and couldn't go without another Dachshund so I searched and found Ava on the internet. We were thoroughly quizzed and checked out before her breeder would let us take her. We had to fly to Louisiana and stay on her farm and meet the owner and Ava before purchasing. Splendor Farms is where she came from and her owner Kelly is fabulous. We still keep in constant touch. I'm thankful for responsible breeders who care about the breed and their dogs!
