We adopted Watson from wonderful foster parents at Dachshund Rescue South Florida. Watson was from a backyard breeder who discarded Watson (then Navajo) to their backyard when he didn't sell. He survived there for 2 years along with 7 other unwanted puppies. They were subjected to the outdoor conditions of Florida and abuse. If there is a silver lining to Hurricane Harvey it was that his owner had to relinquish the dogs to rescue :-). This picture was taken at the hotel where we stayed the night after we adopted him. As we were packing up to leave the hotel, we looked over to see Watson perched on the couch with his blanket and toy all ready for his trip to his forever home. He is such a little love bug and has stolen our hearts. We are thankful to DRSF for our new family member.
