Nauti, the Parson’s Russell, age 13, has always been fun and wild, Honey Child. She’s beautiful, athletic, high-spirited, and still as joyful as ever, even in the midst of her greatest challenge. Neither a cancer diagnosis (suspected with results back on 4/1) nor the quarantine can hold her back from being her mommy’s favorite “Road Dog”, even if it’s just to ride around the neighborhood one last time.
The vet once said, “ Oh, she is so happy. She is such a happy dog. What kind of world would we have if everyone were as happy as this dog?”
I don’t have an answer to that, but this one thing I know: I am a better human being because of her joy, resilience, and love; so, I vow to stop complaining and to be happy in every single situation.
