Your Pet's Story or Bio
My husband and I adopted Rufus from a Colorado Puppy Rescue event in June 2011, shortly after we got married. We had actually attended the adoption event with the intention of playing with cute puppies and nothing else. When we showed up for the event, Rufus was nestled away in the back of a cage making it hard to see him, but somehow I spotted him. Once I held him in my arms and took a look into his big puppy eyes I knew I had to have him and that he would be the perfect addition to our newly started family. Little did we know that he would eventually grow into his oversized head and paws and turn into an 100lb treat-loving, lap dog that will never leave your side. In the almost 6 years we have had Rufus, he has brought us so much love, happiness, and adventure. Rufus has not only won the hearts of my husband and I but of everyone he meets. He is the most kind, sweetest, loyal, and fun-loving, handsome dog anyone could ask for and we are so lucky that he rescued US!
