A little about me:
Gary and I raised our two sons in Thousand Oaks, CA where I owned an art studio and taught decorative painting for 20 years. One of my adventures related to that business was guest teaching in Japan.

I'm an Illinois & California transplant to Verrado, as one of the first owners on Lost Creek Drive in 2004. I've been engaged in the Verrado community through a variety of events, most particularly the We Heart Christmas and We Heart Spring Tours.

Over the years those resident events have raised over $100,000 for various Verrado Giving Tree partners. In addition to volunteerism at Palm Valley Church and the Verrado community, I am a full-time Realtor with HomeSmart.

Previous dance background:
My husband & I took clogging lessons many years ago for about six months!!!

Why Community Paws asked me to be a Star:
We asked Karen to be a Star for us because not only is she a shining light of personality she has been a star for many non profits throughout the years, ourselves included. Karen has been holding We ❤️ Christmas Home Tours for over a decade and now also runs The Backyard Tours all to raise money for non-profits in need. Our Christmas tour raised over $6,000 so you can imagine how much her tireless work has raised over the years. Thank you Karen! ❤️
