Mini was surrendered to the AWLA this January at 15 years of age with kidney disease. In April, she found the person she was meant to be with - truly love at first sight. Mini and her new mommy brought each other love, joy, and deep companionship through her final moments. Tragically Mini’s condition rapidly declined and she passed in June, with a heart full of love on her mom's lap. During the precious months the two shared, Mini got to enjoy activities like answering e-mails, knitting a blanket, impersonating house plants, playing dress-up, and of course, taking lots and lots of naps on her mom’s lap. We all wish Mini and her mom could have had more time together, but we are so incredibly grateful that they found each other and that Mini had a loving home for her final days.
