A little about me...
Luigi came to the shelter very shut down, and particularly afraid of men. He was housed in an office away from the noisey kennels so he could acclimate to the shelter. I was a clinic assistant at the time and began to watch him relax and show off his quirky personality as I did rounds in the morning and evening. I fell in love with him and knew I needed to take him home. One problem, I lived with my fiancé and Luigi did not do well with men. Although he was not a fan of my fiancé upon meeting him at the shelter, I knew I still needed to foster him. The first day of fostering, my fiancé came home from work and Luigi fell in love with him almost instantly. They were curled up in bed together by the end of the night as if his fear of men had vanished. I never could have imagined he would be so comfortable so quickly. We bonded with him immediately and the rest is history. Luigi has come such a long way and truly loves his people. Fostering can go such a long way!
