A little about me...
Hi this is Nikki, the Buffalo Sabres 2023 Team dog and also my service dog. Nikki was donated to WNY Heroes from the family of the late Nicholas Warden, whom she is named after. Nikki spent 7 months at Collins Corrections facility training with the Incarcerated Individuals and the awesome trainers with The Pawsitive for Heroes program,.

I applied for a service dog with WNY Heroes shortly after I retired from the Air Force. Right before Nikki graduated from her training, I was paired as her veteran, and it has been amazing ever since!

I share Nikki with the Sabres (she is still under contract!), and all the fans. Nikki absolutely LOVES putting on her jersey for her game appearances and soaking in all of the pets, treats and love from her fans.

Nikki has absolutely been the best blessing. She has given me the peace of mind that I was missing for so long. If it wasn’t for WNY Heroes, I would never have this gift God has given to me. I look forward to being able to continue serving with WNY Heroes and spreading their mission with the nation to continue serving veterans.
