A little about this image...
A boy grazes emaciated cows along the dried-up Amurdarya River, Uzbekistan.
In Persian, Amurdarya means sea. It used to be the main feeder of the Aral Sea, but its waters have been diverted to irrigate the cotton fields. The river dried up and the sea dried up.
