A little about this image...In the winter of 2020, I had travelled to the Sunderban National Park in West Bengal, India. The National Park is the largest mangrove ecosystem in India and is home to several mammal species, including both herbivores and carnivores. The small islands that make up the estuarine ecosystem is rich with biodiversity. While travelling, I spotted a pair of spotted deer grazing in the grassland on the banks opposite to Dobanki camp. The sun was going low into the horizon, which created a beautiful play of light on the grass and the body of the spotted deers.
