City Year Columbus is an education-based nonprofit that works to help students and schools succeed. Diverse teams of Americorps Members provide holistic supports to students, classrooms and the entire school community. City Year Columbus was founded in 1994, to serve students in the Columbus City School district that were identified as needing additional support. City Year works with students by providing interventions to bolster skills in attendance, behavior and coursework. Our Americorps Members also work to create family engagement opportunities as well as provide Social Emotional support our students. City Year is proud to lead this work through the lenses of equity and social justice.

On behalf of the City Year team, we would like to show our gratitude for our dedicated board member Bill Calvert from Merril Lynch, who is our sponsor for the regatta. Bill has not only been an advocate for our students and families but a fierce supporter of our 62 AmeriCorps members that serve our students. Additionally, Bill is consistently exploring opportunities elevate our work such as the Regatta. This is a particularly critical year as our students work to regain skills lost as a result of the pandemic. Proceeds from the regatta will provide resources to ensure that all students have access to tools and supports to help them succeed and reach their full potential. We want to thank the Kiwanis Club and Bill Calvert again for the generosity and support of our work.
