Pet's Story or Bio
A few months after our cat Ruby, who was my close companion for 21 years, died, I started looking online at pics of cats for adoption from local shelters. Very soon, I came across this big beautiful white cat with one blue eye and one green eye named, “Bowie,” and immediately thought, “I think we have our next cat.” I’ve been a huge David Bowie fan since my teens, and sadly he had just died a couple of months before. I convinced my husband, who wasn’t feeling quite ready to open his broken heart to a new cat, just to go see him at the shelter. As soon as we met him, my husband was like, yes! let’s take him! I was a little freaked out by his size and his wild child energy! The shelter staff recommended that he be an only cat because he’d walk around picking fights with the other Toms. Well, he’s been part of our family for 8 years now, and he’s still a big, goofy, rough-housing wild child - and a sweet mama’s boy (yay!). Our total rock star!
