Pet's Story or Bio
I wait every year for the CASPCA pet calendar, but this year is different. With a heavy heart, this will be our last year to nominate our little man, Carter, who recently passed on July 13, 2024, of a sudden illness and rapid decline. This is still a fresh wound for us as he was the center of our life. Carter moved from Charlottesville 12.5 years ago to retire in Florida spending every day of his life in the Florida sun by his pool (with the exception of two hurricane evacuations). He was 17 years old last month (June 1st) and lived a very happy life relaxing by the pool, patrolling the lanai for geckos, receiving a periodic brushing so he could scratch his chin, and enjoying full attention of his parents. He was our “little man,” a high energy “forever kitten,” with a personality that brought us great joy and always made us laugh at the quirky things he did. Our house is empty and our hearts broken as we adjust to our new routine. We have so many great memories and pictures to show for it. The Legacy of Carter lives on. We again thank CASPCA for all the wonderful kittens we adopted and who joined our family over the years. Carter has crossed the rainbow bridge to join his older brothers and sister. We know they are all in a better place.
