About Us

Community Animal Rescue & Adoption, Inc. (CARA) is a No-Kill Shelter located in Jackson, MS. We care for an average of 300 dogs and 120 cats daily. CARA is supported solely by private donations from individuals, businesses, & fund raising events like this one. With your support we can continue to place our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and continue to work with the community to support spay and neuter programs and to encourage responsible pet ownership through education and outreach efforts.
