BROOD Calendar Voting Contest Rules Dust off your best dog photos or start snapping new ones. It is time for the 2025 BROOD calendar contest. Please read all the Contest Rules carefully before submitting your photos.
These rules apply to the Donate-to-Vote Contest only. - Entry fee is $20 per photo, non-refundable. The entry fee counts toward the dog's vote total.
- Only 1 photo per dog can be submitted in the contest. Additional photos for a dog will not be accepted.
- Each entry must be submitted via the GoGo website. Entries submitted otherwise will not be accepted.
- All dogs adopted from BROOD are eligible to be entered in the contest. Non-BROOD dog entries must be bassets or basset mixes.
- Only VOTES (donations) submitted online on the GoGo site are valid for voting. Checks are not accepted.
- There will be 12 different winners for the 12 months based on vote totals. The top vote recipient can pick the month their dog is featured. The top 12 dogs will be featured as monthly winners in the desk and wall calendar covers.
- The top 3 dogs will receive prizes. (See Prizes page.)
- Dogs in positions 13 through 18 at the end at the end of the contest will have their photos (larger than thumbnails) placed on the Runners Up page in the calendar. Dogs in places 19 and above will have their thumbnail photos randomly placed throughout the calendar.
- Entries can be submitted 12:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Friday, March 1, 2024 thru 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
- Public voting for entries begins at 12:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, April 1, 2024 and ends at 10:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Each vote is $1.
- No people are permitted in the photos. Dogs or other animals only.
- IMPORTANT – Photo orientation must be landscape (i.e., the photo is wider than it is tall), not portrait (i.e., taller than it is wide). Portrait oriented photos will NOT be accepted.
- The photo needs to be in focus and not over or under exposed (too light or too dark). Make sure you are shooting at the highest quality setting on your camera or phone.
- Do not Photoshop, add text to your photos or otherwise digitally manipulate photos (including collages).
- BROOD reserves the right to reject photos that are not landscape, that are not high enough resolution to be printed, photos that do not conform to our contest rules, or ones that we deem inappropriate. Entrants with rejected photos will be provided the opportunity to submit substitute photos.
- Note that any entries that were taken by a professional photographer MUST have written permission from that photographer for use in the contest. BROOD cannot be held liable for copyright infringements. Entries without written permission will be rejected.
- Entries must be submitted by the owner of the pet, or with permission and knowledge of the owner. If the photo was taken by someone other than the owner, permission must be granted from the person who owns the photo.
