My Story
I had a rescue Bassett as a kid and was looking for one that I could mold and shape from puppy to adult. Archie is a European Bassett and came from a breeder in NC, who I discovered through Facebook. I was first in line for the next littler when I got a call saying that someone had to back out due to needing extra money for wedding expenses and wanted to know if I’d be interested. My wife and I drove from VA to NC three days later and immediately fell in love with Archie. He was 8 weeks old and 15 pounds. He’s now almost five, super long and weighs over 100 pounds. We had no idea he would be so big! He brings so much joy and laughter to us and everyone he comes in contact with. We live in a neighborhood with mostly small dogs. With Archie’s uniqueness and stand out size, everyone knows him.. He’s considered the mayor of the neighborhood. He loves walking the neighborhood and knows all the houses that give treats. He’s a spoiled rotten only dog and is living in his best life!
