Noel showed up during the ice storm of 1998 in North AL on my Dad's patio on Christmas night. She came running to me, crying and starving right as I arrived at my parent's home for the holiday. I brought her back to Bham with me to possibly find her a perfect home but it ended up that the perfect home was mine. She only weighed 2lbs when I took her to the vet to be spayed that week so he sent us home dewormed and to fatten up a bit. He estimated her age to be around a year even though I thought I had rescued a kitten. She has been my precious companion for all these years and today is being treated for CKD and hyperthyroidism and continues to maintain good health despite her advanced age.
