Siena is a 3.5yo mutt adopted from Benevolent Bully Rescue.

She’s an anxious girlie but still knows how to have fun!

She’s a travel pro, loves to explore new places, meet new people, and roughhouse with her friends. Although she doesn’t prefer the company of most other dogs, she has a unique bond with every single one of her people.

As my doctor-prescribed Emotional Support Animal, Siena helps me navigate my disability by accompanying me wherever she’s allowed - doctor’s appointments, hospitals, physio sessions, and anywhere else I need her.

She recently earned her Novice Trick Dog title through Do More With Your Dog, and helps me demonstrate training exercises with my clients.

Sure, her behaviour isn’t “ideal” in a lot of circumstances - she has severe separation anxiety, she’s sound sensitive, she struggles with environmental contrast, she’s sensitive to handling, and she’s reactive towards unfamiliar dogs.

But that’s okay because perfection will never be our goal. We’re more concerned with her safety and happiness, and can manage whatever is necessary to make that happen.
