Thornton was a rescue to us at 7 years old. He spent his first 7 years living outside in a kennel. He knew nothing, including his name. He was 20 pounds underweight, had lyme and heartworm disease. A month after having him, he then bloated. That surgery put off his heatworm treatments by another 6 weeks. Within 2 weeks of rescuing him, he was housebroken, wiping his feet before coming in the house and the most loving dog you'll ever meet. He went on to get his CGC certificate and visited nursing homes for the next five years. He will always be our heart dog.
