Overcoming overwhelming odds over many years, senior Siamese cat Nala's Olympian-grade heart, grit, and determination have finally won her a home... and, ultimately, the heart of Rebekka, her former foster mom / human support staff. ❤️

Nala's epic journey has taken her from surviving an early life on the cold, hard NYC streets, where she was trapped and spayed and returned; to many years, without socialization or sunlight in a windowless basement, where she barely survived starvation after the elderly homeowner passed; to months recovering and rehabilitating at Bideawee's Manhattan rescue shelter with 2 fellow survivors (though 2 other cats in the vacant home did not); to being bullied by a fellow foster home cat; to bravely mastering life in a home with a vicious vacuum and menacing hairdryer; to conquering a terrifying wand toy; to even courageously surviving her 2024 veterinary exam (accidentally wetting herself with anxiety, getting into a carrier)... and getting a gold star for behavior from Doctor Eric, the vet Yes, the adoption odds were decidedly stacked against our little underdog (er, underCAT) heroine, at first...

But then, thanks to hard work, courage, resilience, intensive socialization training sessions in a foster home, and a hope- and treats-fuelled dream, our little Nala--the 15-years-young blue point Siamese rescue who spent all her life hoping-- successfully leaped over all obstacles to become a CHAMPION adoptable cat and is FINALLY living her toy-, nap- and love- filled life in her very own fur-ever home!
