We adopted Houston from BRBR on July 21, 2007. We drove all the way from Knoxville, TN to Byhalia, MS to pick him up and he has been a part of our family ever since. When we adopted him, he had a permanent curve to his back due to a prior back injury. This never slowed him down, he just learned how to hop like a bunny instead of run the way most dogs do. Sadly, we recently found out that he has a somewhat rare cancerous tumor on his snout and it has spread to his lymph node. Right now he's going through chemotherapy and heat therapy to try to reduce the size and slow the growth of the tumors. We are hoping these treatments work, because without them his life expectancy is 2-3 months.
