Tamara Lackey is a renowned professional photographer, Nikon USA Ambassador, non-profit executive director, and show host. She has photographed a series of commercial and marketing campaigns for Nikon.
Tamara is the Executive Director of
Beautiful Together, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization she co-founded in 2014 that is focused on a mission she cares about deeply: connecting animals in need of refuge with children living is underserved communities. She is fortunate to work alongside an accomplished team as the Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary is being built out across 83 acres of property in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Beautiful Together also continues their original
project work in Ethiopia.
Tamara speaks at a range of venues about the power of photography to have impact and to create real change. She has presented at Google, Disney, Harvard Law School, and many more. She leads photography adventure workshops around the world and is the author of nine books.
Tamara and her husband are the co-owners of
Coco Bistro & Bar, a popular plant-based eatery in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, focused on sustainability. They, their children, and their active cadre of pets live in Chapel Hill.
