Hello: my name is Koko, I’m a little girl of 10 years old and a mere 8lbs, albeit I was only 6 lbs when I met my wonderful mom.

Let me tell you how I got to meet my mom. It was March 30th 2023 when one of the kind volunteers at the BCSPCA called me: come on Mary (I hated that name, a nice name but not for a dog of my stature) there is someone here I want you to meet. When I entered the reception area, lots of people standing I saw this lady sitting on the bench, well it was love at first sight, I cut loose jumped on her lap and covered her face with kisses. Next to her I saw this big bag and dived for it and finally into it, letting her know, that she is not leaving without me. That was the beginning of my new happy life. She told me that I was a rescue from Prince George BC and was in pretty bad shape. They (the BCSPCA ) fixed me up some and luckily my new mom gave me the awesome name of Koko.

At my new home there was this beautiful big couch for me to sit where ever I wanted and a big bed to sleep with my mom, but there is also this big beautiful doggy park in the back of the building with grass and trees and bushes to roam and a lot of other doggies from the building to play with. I had to learn a few new words of which my favourite was “atta atta” which means to go to the dog park, but my most favourite was “car ride” I jump for joy whenever I hear those words. I get buckled in, in the passenger seat, mom puts down the window and I feel the wind in my face and watch the world go by.

I’m also told that I’m her life saver, because I need to go out at least 3 times a day, you know what we have to do. But I check on her regularly when we walk to see if she is ok, so I’m in a way I turned into a “therapy dog” haha who would have thought little ole me.
I hope I have a chance at this contest.

Mom put this biker outfit on me the fit is a bit big, but I thing I look cute all the ladies at London Drugs think so.
