Animal Bio
Our beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog was born in Abbotsford, BC. We wish we knew him as a puppy but Ola spent the first 9 years of his life with another family. For the last couple years before we adopted him he was confined to the garage of their home and wasn’t given nearly enough love and attention. The family, moving to another country, were giving him up so we decided to give him the home he deserves and at 9 years old he got a whole new family. He is now showered with love, treats, outdoor adventures and lots of chicken. Living the high life in our spacious two bedroom apartment, he now has two beds and practically a whole couch to choose from. His end of the couch is dressed with one of the four customized blankets he has. He’s spoiled with fresh homemade peanut butter treats by the grandpawrents, loves walking the trails of Pacific Spirit Park and lounging in the grass of Stanley Park, people watching. Pretty sure snow is his favourite thing of all though. He may be a senior but he can still run like a puppy, especially through fresh snow. Then he’ll lay in it for hours. When he first came to us he was terrified of men and most dogs but now there isn’t a person or a dog he doesn’t want to say hi to. He’s adored everywhere he goes and is somewhat of a celebrity in our apartment building. He loves car rides and new adventures, he’s even joined us on a couple road trips down to LA to visit family! He is literally a big furball of love and always wants to be cuddling (but more like squishing) us. Our old man is just a big baby at heart and loves nothing more than sprawling out on the couch with Mom and Dad. He’s also obsessed with Grandma and Grandpa, he loves sleepovers at their house, where he’s spoiled more than he is at home. He is now 11 years old and counting and we truly don’t know who rescued who.
