Animal Bio
Adin (pronounced Adeen) is a Corgi-Husky-Basset Hound mix who bounded into my life from the SPCA. He was just a little puppy when I met him in a foster to adopt situation. All his siblings bounded around and he was slow, quiet and seemed fragile. The other puppies grabbed the food from his mouth and he was unconcerned. Well, I had to 'rescue' him! Of course, as most animals who are rescued are, he was the rescuer. Intuitively, he knew exactly how to maneuver around my wheelchair. He is the most laid back loving companion.
While I anticipated a lot of walks and energy, this little guy enjoys a maximum of 1 km and then will turn and want to head home, he has had enough exercise for the morning! He loves to meet new people and new dogs and well, new anyone. In a crowd, he will greet everyone with a happy face and a gentle kiss. If you are feeling low, he quietly and carefully sits beside you and gives you space to be, leaning just enough to let you feel him near.
He is a gift and treasure in my life and a prime example of how the work of the SPCA is so important .
