Dante is an 11 year old from Yellowknife, NT who was 'rescued' from the Yellowknife SPCA back in 2012 when the SPCA was still under construction. Dante roamed around the wilderness of the Northwest Territories with his new forever-human-friend for a few months before flying out to Bishop's University in Quebec!
At University, Dante learned how to interact with humans, and quickly went from being a scared puppy to a dog that tolerated strangers but loved those that spent time with him.
A few years later, he embarked on a road-trip from Quebec to Vancouver, BC with his two forever-human-friends. Dante pee'd in the trees near the Cloud Gate (Chicago Bean ), in the Badlands of South Dakota, at the entrance of Mount Rushmore, and even made Yellowstone a bit Yellower - finally to end up in his new home near Vancouver.
Since then, Dante has seen more of British Columbia than most humans see in their lifetimes, spending days and weeks in the wilderness off-roading and camping. From the vast lakes to the endless rivers, and from mountain peak to mountain peak, Dante has become quite the adventurer!
Dante has gone from spending countless hours under the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) pondering the ultimate question, "who is this Good Boy I keep hearing about, and what is he up to now?" to now conquering the highest peaks of BC and knowing for a fact that he is the ultimate Good Boy because of the sheer amount of treats he gets.
After 11 years of travel and adventure, as all small mammals will eventually, Dante has developed an inoperable tumor that will soon and inevitably push him to the other side. Until then, he will continue his journey in this land to see as much of it as possible, sniff everything he can, pee on every blade of grass, and perhaps even end up with his face on a beer can.
