Boomer and Harper joined my family in October 2022 from the Duncan SPCA. They are “twins”, boys from the same litter, very closely bonded in all aspects of their lives. They may have started out as feral farm cats, but they sure became big, snuggly, mommies boys - on their terms, of course

Harper is the serious one, my head gardener and supervisor in everything. As for his brother, that little boy has no off switch, where Boomer is, trouble follows

Harper loves digging out the winter lettuce plants, chomping on them as he curls up in the dirt. In the summer months, he loves picking off my cherry tomatoes: he knows exactly when they are just ripe enough, and he always drops one for his brother, so the two of them can chase the tomatoes through the house before devouring them … on the living room carpet

Boomer is the nosy one, his favourite pass time is opening boxes, bags, looking for food; picking off the flowers of the Christmas cactus; stretching out in front of the heater; hopping in my lap for a snuggle as soon as I sit in the recliner.

I cannot believe my good fortune to meet these two kitties. Sure, I promised myself no more pets after the passing of my last two kitties, apparently Mother Nature had different ideas. I am so grateful someone dropped these boys off at the SPCA, their loss is my gain of a couple of incredibly sweet, very gentle kittens. They are wonderful family members, total lap cats
