Animal Bio
Basil has Cerebellar Hypoplasia a condition that affects his movements, or Wobbly Cat Syndrome. We got him from the SPCA 8 years ago. He has changed our lives. He doesn’t recognize his disabilities and lives a very active and fulfilling life. All the other cats seem to know his limitations and play with him very gently. In fact we recently adopted another CH cat, Phoebe from the SPCA and being only a kitten, has given Basil a buddy and both of them believe themselves to be little lions with no limitations!
Basil has taught us so much about perseverance and strength. He usually refuses help to do anything, wanting almost defiantly to do it himself. Whether climbing steps, using the potty box, or getting on the couch but he does like to be fed by hand…his and our special ‘time’. We love him dearly!
