Animal Bio
Nika stole my heart the moment I saw her little head poke out from behind a horse blanket. She was the runt of a barn litter, destined for an outdoor barn cat life. She was clumsy, skittish, and cuddly. It became very clear that she would not be suited for barn life. Despite having no intentions initially to get a cat, she came home with me.
She now excels in her temperature-controlled indoor life of playing with mice/springs and seeking out sunbeams. She searches for me with concern when I'm upset. Over the last 12 years she's made me laugh daily, bringing joy with her like I didn't know a cat could. She saved me more than I saved her. I couldn't imagine a world without her.
