Pansy (aka PSP or SP) Hallam was wanted long before she showed up. I kept seeing cute little sausage dogs in Victoria, BC when I was home for a month during the summer - I lived in Singapore. Then Covid hit and my mom got sick, making international travel very difficult. I knew I needed to come back to Canada, and I also knew it would be a difficult transition from my home of almost 20 years. I was on a list for a year waiting for a puppy from a small breeder in Cowachin. Just over a year ago Kristina called and I didn't expect it, but when my employer and friend Karin supported this sudden decision and said Pansy could come to work with me, I headed out to pick this little bundle of love up. She is an absolute delight with personality plus. I take her to work (I am a teacher and I work with kids that don't fit well in the public system. She and Yogi (a best friend) are a hit with our children. Pansy paddle boards, (well, I do the hard work), swims, and regularly runs 12kms on the trails with me. I've taken her skiing but she isn't convinced. She is a professional snoozer, snuggles on her off hours and loves a good warm bath. My life is better with this little pea! And even if my 86 year old dad won't admit it, his is too.
