Roxy was adopted from the Chilliwack SPCA in June, 2020. Who knew, when John and I retrieved her from hiding behind her litter box at the shelter, that this sweet little kitten with the demure meow would grow into the gregarious gal that she is now.
She has developed into a spunky little show off who loves to entertain the neighbours as she bounces through block parties and shoots up trees the likes of the best high rigger we know. She is a huge fan of the outdoors! While she remains little in stature, Roxy has now lost her demure little meow and makes demands for her Hills treats with a pert and demanding meow that lets us know that if we don't follow through there's going to be big trouble (she's unlikely to win any singing competitions).
In addition to tree climbing, Roxy maintains her svelte figure by galloping through the house, playing with her spring toy and her cat nip fishy. She also enjoys a vigorous game of hide and seek with John. Oh, and did I say that Dr. O'Reilly says she is one of the finest examples of a healthy cat he's ever seen? - no foolin'!
The only one in the household with a tattoo, she is not without a mischievous side. She keeps her mind active by trying to figure out just how she can knock various items off the counter without being caught and she annoys our strata council more than a little by climbing up and getting stuck on the roof of our townhouse. Her down time is spent lounging at the top of her custom-made driftwood cat tree. Roxy believes that every calendar girl needs her beauty sleep - and good lookin' she is, as her boyfriend, Murfie, would attest!
A great little companion, we can't go anywhere in the house without Roxy following close behind. Since her adoption, she has filled a big gap in our lives and she is a constant source of entertainment.
