We adopted “Abby” from the Abottsford SPCA 12 years ago when she was 2 years old.

Abby was the best pet we have ever had in our home - from the day we picked her up until her passing in late November (this picture was taken on the Washington coast a month before her passing) Abby and I were together every day - morning to night - with the exception of 4 days. As we were retired when we adopted Abby, being with her every day /all day was never an issue.

Abby was really a great camper and became a “group pet” to all our camping friends. Abby enjoyed people more than other dogs and was always ready to go for a walk with any of her camping friends - but if you left your chair at the camp fire - it was hers for the taking.

Abby had a favourite shelter /napping spot - the back of our Jeep. She would spend hours laying in the back of the Jeep with the tailgate open watching everything that was happening around her...whenever I would work in the garden or yard I would position the Jeep so she could watch what I was working at - it was her refuge.

Abby had a favourite pastime - raiding my vegetable garden - carrots and radishes were her favourite - but she was also known to dig up my potatos and steal the odd cherry and roma tomato.

We miss her greatly...
