Frank and I adopted Sadie and her sister Ally from Meow Aid in 2006. They were 5 years old. The beginning was rough; both Sadie and Ally had ringworm, but we decided we still wanted to adopt them and give them a forever home. After bringing them home, we discovered they had the feline herpes virus. Once again, we nursed them back to good health.

Sadly, we lost Sadie (on right), last year due to complications related to the feline herpes virus, brought on by the trauma of the removal of her eye (glaucoma). Ally still misses her sister, which is evident by her need for constant companionship. We too miss Sadie very much, and wish we could have had more time together. I will cherish my memories of our sweet, little Sadie.
