Tuck story goes back originally from Williams Lake and later transferred to Vancouver. Our dog Java had to be put down Feb 15/15 due to complications to her liver and kidneys. It broke our hearts and sadly left a large hole in our household when she passed. Well it just so happened later that week I dropped by the Vancouver SPCA location....yeah really (hmmm..hmmm) by chance...lol. Well while observing the few dogs in the facility I hear this whining cry from the opposite side of the kennel. Their he was with a sign on the cage stating all kinds of humurous details on who he is...such as " AKA Loverboy, I fancy myself a Lapdog, I want to be the dog in the family. love walks but not small kids...oh and here's kicker...don't just stare at me, feed me a treat that is in the container on the door" So i did just that, fed him a treat. Right there and then I was his buddy, the barking stopped and he became the biggest baby on the planet. Well after some initial bonding I texted photos to my wife and immediately she texted back and agreed to drive over to the facility after work. We met up with one of the supervisors in the little meeting room to meet up with TUCK. The dog loved us, he sat on my lap and cuddled up like a little kid. It was close to closing time so the supervisor said to think about it overnight and since we had just lost our companion from that last 12 yrs , think about it overnight to make sure you are not making any rash decisions about adopting too soon. So we thought about and YES we decided to adopt this baby , goofy dog....lol He had come from broken homes, having been abused from his 1st owner and unfortunately did not workout with is 2nd family who had kids a year or 2 after they initially adopted TUCK. Well 4 days after JAVA had passed away...yes 4 days later, we took him in. He has been a great fit in our suburban home and neighbourhood. Loves the open space, offleash walks, even has made friends with other dogs and most of all, loves his Mom and Dad. We love our TUCK er. xoxoxo
