Chanel was being given away as a free blind kitten on Facebook. She was taken in by a local rescue and I was the lucky foster mom who got to foster her. The minute I laid eyes on her I knew she'd be mine forever. She is not blind - she has hydrocephalus and some neurological issues, but she is the happiest little cat ever. She has no idea she has special needs, she just wants to play and climb and zoom like every other kitten, then climb up on my lap to purr and snooze. She's a wonderful example of how special needs animals can lead full, fun-filled lives, and I get great joy out of caring for her. :)
