Three native black-tailed deer from the same herd are trying to survive in an urban environment on the territory of the Lekwungen speaking people (Victoria, BC).
In 1970, Vancouver Island was home to 250,000 BTD; current numbers range at around 45,000, according to a 2008 CRD Deer Population Trends report.
