These sheep are running for their lives.

I was snowshoeing across a field when I looked up and saw eight bighorn sheep barreling towards me through the snow. They fanned out and I saw the wolf that was chasing them. It was running flat out, ears back, eyes wide, mouth open. After they separated the wolf kept after the smallest one and they disappeared over a ridge.

My most intense wildlife encounter.
