Description of Photo
Eagles nest in my backyard. This is one of the parents coming towards me while I stand on my lawn with my camera. Eagles started nesting in my backyard exactly 50 years after my first date with David Hancock while flying a tiny two-seater float plane around Barkley Sound on the West Coast of BC . I got engaged on my first date counting eagles three days before I was due to leave Canada by boat for my home in Australia. That engagement, my marriage a few weeks later in Australia, and the live wedge-tailed eagle which was my wedding presented, the gift of the local vet, began my interest in animals. It is an amazing coincidence that eagles should come to live beside me for the eagle breeding season - I just remembered the snapshot of an eagle photo taken from my kitchen window, an eagle on Hallowe'en riding a broomstick! Yes, really! Wish I could blow it up, will send it later and perhaps you can 'blow it up'!!
