Process for Awarding Prizes
The North Carolina Azalea Festival will attempt to notify the top three Grand Prize Winner families in each category by telephone or email on or about Wednesday, March 20, 2024. If the potential winners cannot be contacted by North Carolina Azalea Festival staff within 24 hours after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her, North Carolina Azalea Festival may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place from the next non-winning, eligible top vote-getter. The Pet Royalty in each category will be honored in Festival publicity and marketing as an Azalea Festival Pet Royalty Court member.
Winner Requirements
Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. If a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, the North Carolina Azalea Festival will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner among remaining eligible entries.
The potential winners will be notified by email or phone by North Carolina Azalea Festival staff. The winning entrant in each category will be asked to bring their pet to Wilmington, NC for the Mini Photo Shoot with [27]5 Creative. This photography shoot must be mutually scheduled to take place within March 20, 2024 and June 20, 2024. Appointment is required and dates are given based on current availability at that time. The photography shoot will be provided free of charge as a contest prize to the winner. Retail value of this photo shoot is $200 and includes a 20-minute studio session with 12 digital files,. Any additional digital files or professional prints can be purchased at that time or within 2-4 weeks. Upgrades are also available for this package. If the winner is not local to Wilmington, NC and does not wish to travel to have the photo shoot during the calendar year, they may choose to forfeit this portion of the prize without penalty.
