Rowdy has lots of spots and is named after Rowdy Gaines, a 4-time Olympic Gold swimmer. Rowdy is also an excellent swimmer.

I’m royalty because…
Like many kings, my stature alone commands much attention, but also my good looks and of course, my splendid spots, a true sign of royalty!
I often get asked what kind of dog I am. My mom was never really sure so she made things up like, "He's a very rare Egyptian Pharoah's Hunting Hound." That is until a lady asked where she could get one. Oops.
Now Mom says I have Blue Heeler in me and other kingly pedigrees.
I love to walk and have traveled all of Wilmington's trails. Although, this is enjoyable, I must also always perform my most important duty, which is to clearly mark my territory far and wide to grow my kingdom. I am royally pleased to announce, that at this juncture, most of Wilmington is mine.
