A little about me...
Trixie has been in the care of the AWLA since December 2023. For most of that time Trixie has been living with her fabulous foster caregiver, Tahleigha. Earlier this year Trixie developed a limp, and it was thought that she had torn a ligament in her knee known as the CCL. However her limp did not improve with anti-inflammatories and rest so Trixie went to see a specialist who unfortunately diagnosed her with an inoperable form of bone cancer, osteosarcoma. Trixie will be staying with Tahleigha as a fospice until the time comes when we can no longer manage her pain.

Trixie is a staff and volunteer favorite and we figured there would be no better tribute to her than to have her in the calendar!

From Trixie's hero fospice pawrent: Meet this gorgeous little girl, Trixie Pixie! Trixie has earned the nickname Pixie because not only is she the miniest pittie you’ll probably ever see, she’s also the absolute sweetest one too!

Trixie’s always a very happy and energetic little pup whose favorite things include long walks in the sunshine, little paddles at the beach or the nearby water hole, and lots of playtime and cuddles with her favorite teddies.

What this little cuddle bug loves most is snuggling up at the end of a busy day with her human. Trixie always greets her human with matching good morning and goodnight squeaks .
