Pet's Story
Bogeys life started out pretty rough, before the age of 4 months old he ended up in a kill shelter. The shelter was planning on euthanizing him in a day or two. He was not a dog our local rescue was planning on transporting to Colorado. In the end, he was brought to Colorado. Bogey and his rescue went on a journey from Texas to Colorado, where he would soon find his forever home. After about a 12 hour drive, he finally arrived. We knew we were going to foster a dog, but never imagined he would become a permanent part of the family. When he arrived, from Texas he was malnourished and scared. While we thought he was cute, he sure was talkative. We were all set on the fact that we did not need a loud dog since our family of five is already loud! For the first week or so, he would not stop barking! He wanted to bark at everything! Birds, people, fences, leaves, etc. At the time we didn’t realize that he was just excited about seeing new things! His barking has died down now, he rarely barks, but still gets excited over new things. Now Bogey has reached a healthy weight and is extremely healthy thanks to Brooklyn Veterinary Clinic. He loves exploring, walks, and the dog park. Bogey is such a smart dog, he knows sit, shake, lay down, puppy pushups, roll over, dead dog, and can balance a treat on his nose. Bogey has such a strong personality, he loves kids, loves naps in the sun, loves giving kissses, and is hilarious. Our family will randomly look outside and he is doing sprints back and forth, from fence to fence, with his tounge hanging out. He is living out his best life, helping there family live there’s too.
