Pet's Story
It's no coincidence her name means strong in Hebrew. Abira came to Ark-Valley Humane Society in the summer of 2016 ready to show us how strong she was. She was only about 2 weeks old and already suffering from a URI when a kind soul brought her to AVHS. Her eyes were nearly crusted shut and we thought it might be her best bet to have them enucleated. She came home with me as a foster and we worked hard to her URI under control and her eyes healthy. Flash forward a year, and she has found her forever home with me! Her URI is gone, she still has both eyes and though she cannot fully see, it does not slow her down one bit! She is a feisty ball of joy mixed with adventure and I couldn't be happier she lives with me!
