About My CatEli was the neighbors cat. When she would leave town, she asked us to watch him. Unfortunately she let him be mostly outdoor and he had a run in with another animal. We started to take care of him more, he would show up at our house and want to come in. We didn't have any animals and would give him more attention. One day he was dry heaving and would go outside and sit in the street, or gutter and heave every 15 minutes. After seeing this, we took him to our (new) Vet and then to the VCA hospital. He was diagnosed with IBD, and the neighbor was not going to give him any special food or drugs. We decided to keep him and make him ours. She understood that once I registered him with us, she no longer had any claim on him. He is a very large cat and should be 20 pounds when healthy. He went from a quiet non playful cat with wiry fur, to a super talkative, playful kitty who has fur more like mink. I have also actively (with protest from Eli) curbed his outdoor time from 12 hours a day,
