Pet's Story
Chicken Pie is the official ambassador for our quiet little street. She literally came with “the neighborhood”. Although we became her main people 3 years ago, she was one of the first beings to greet us when we moved in to our home 6 years ago. When her owner died unexpectedly we could not bare to see her be relocated and it was clear that she choose us to be her new family.
Although we feed her, she shares her love with all of our neighbors’ porches throughout each day. She is keen on laying in the middle of our street to sun herself. There are neighbors who walk down our street just to pay her a visit and know her name without knowing ours. She’s a fixture, a salve, a joy to so many.
And she’s the boss. Our 90 lb lab is no match for her and she still brings us rodent gifts although she’s at least 11-12 years old.
We love Chicken Pie and love that she is soooo loved by so many others!!!!
