Pet's Story
Willy came to our family a month after we lost our sweet boy Sampson who died suddenly April 2018. A neighbor tagged me in a post on Facebook about puppies needing a transport from Haywood County Animal Shelter to Asheville Humane Society and I answered the call. Willy was one of five redtick hound mix puppies being shipped up north. We were in the market for a sibling for our coonhound Sookie, Willy looked like he was meant to be her brother.

At 7 weeks Willy came to live with us and has been keeping us on our toes ever since. While he was officially adopted from AHS, it's only fitting g to thank and recognize Haywood County Animal Shelter for raising him until the day he was transported, he was actually born at HCAS.
