Pet's Story
Miss. Rosie Mae was a bait dog before she came to me. For anyone who is not familiar with what a bait dog is, they are the dogs sent in to rile up the fight dogs. Most of their teeth are pulled so they cannot hurt the prize dogs and they are taught that aggressive behavior is how you're supposed to play. Since I have adopted her she went from being scared and timid with everyone to being a loving and playful baby. She loves every single person and animal she comes into contact with, she never meets a stranger. Through the hard work and dedication of myself and an amazing trainer Liz at petsmart she has come a long way. Her play habits have changed to where she no longer accidentally triggers a reaction from other dogs and is now a well behaved and spoiled baby. She is the prime example of what the shelters are capable of doing. Please donate and help them continue their amazing work so that we can give multiple dogs like Rosie their 2nd chance.
