Pet's Story
When we rescued Zeus, he was almost 2y/o but had never been groomed nor trained, and showed signs of severe neglect like being severely underweight (about 60lbs). He wasn’t happy and it showed. But when he came home we got him fixed, groomed and started feeding him a delicious raw diet. He started gaining weight and growing; his playful nature came out and once he realized we were his forever home, training went a lot smoother. Now, Zeus enjoys endless lower back scratches, daily runs at the dog park, swims in the creek, hikes and family trips, as well as a big yard to chase bumble bees to his heart content. He’s at a healthy 120ish lbs and is the center of attention wherever we go. He continues to earn one of our cat’s love but so far, he’s only been able to achieve his tolerance. He loves playing with our daughter and annoying the heck out of our older dog Sadie (18y/o). Zeus’ rescue story motivates other people to adopt/rescue because he is the perfect example of how a loving family, play and discipline are what dogs need to thrive. He’s helped socialize countless pups, and kids to lose their fear for dogs. He’s very happy and knows how loved he is. We couldn’t ask for a better companion!
