Brief Description
Graphite on Arches 140LB watercolor paper of the horse, Bismarck, created as a wine label for Quantum Leap Winery. Bismarck was a jumper, a "leaper", so I chose a horse to represent a wine that "leaps above all others.
You know a horse will loan you freedom, give you courage, and teach you to dance; Bismarck was my show hunter/jumper and riding him taught you to fly. His career was accolade filled, a recognition of power, gentleness, and humble beauty without pride. He was my friend, giving me that gift of flight, galloping gracefully and effortlessly across grass covered rings sprinkled with looming obstacles. He was a treasured partner, a champion in every sense of the word, giving his heart and strength whenever called upon. What a perfect diplomat for Quantum Leap Winery!
